Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center is the only full-service hospital on Kodiak Island. Pediatric services can provide developmental screening and referrals, but comprehensive autism evaluations require flying to Anchorage (~1 hour). Telehealth with Anchorage specialists is increasingly available.

Infant Learning Program — Kodiak

The Kodiak ILP delivers Part C Early Intervention services to infants and toddlers birth to 3 across Kodiak Island. The program is the primary early intervention resource for island families and serves outlying communities as logistics allow.

ABA Telehealth — Anchorage Providers Serving Kodiak

In-person ABA therapy is not available on Kodiak Island. Anchorage-based ABA providers may offer telehealth consultation and parent training to Kodiak families. Alaska Medicaid covers telehealth ABA; contact PARENTS, Inc. for current referrals to ABA providers willing to serve Kodiak remotely.

No in-person ABA on Kodiak Island. Telehealth parent training is the primary ABA-based support. Some families fly to Anchorage for intensive services.

Alaska's federally funded Parent Training and Information Center serves families statewide including Fairbanks North Star Borough. Provides free IEP support, special education advocacy, and training. PARENTS, Inc. is often the most important first call for Fairbanks families navigating the school system.
