SEARHC's Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in Sitka is the major hospital serving Southeast Alaska outside of Juneau. Pediatric services provide developmental screening and referrals; comprehensive autism evaluations require referral to Juneau or Anchorage. Sitka is accessible only by air or sea ferry.
SEARHC primarily serves Alaska Native and American Indian community members but all are seen. Telehealth with Juneau or Anchorage specialists can supplement local care.
