PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center is Southeast Alaska's southernmost full-service hospital. Pediatric providers can screen for developmental concerns and initiate telehealth consultations with Anchorage specialists. Ketchikan is the most accessible Southeast Alaska community outside Juneau — ferry service and daily flights connect it to the broader Pacific Northwest.

Ketchikan is relatively accessible by SE AK standards — ferry to Prince Rupert BC and flights to Seattle or Anchorage. Telehealth specialists are increasingly used for diagnostic follow-up.

Alaska's Part C EI program serves children birth to 3 in the Ketchikan Gateway Borough. The Ketchikan ILP provides in-home services with telehealth support. FREE for eligible children. Ketchikan's relative accessibility means EI services are somewhat easier to coordinate than in more remote SE AK communities.
