United Memorial Medical Center — Developmental Referrals

United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia is Genesee County's primary hospital, located midway between Buffalo (1 hour west) and Rochester (45 min east). Developmental pediatric screenings and referrals for autism concerns are available. Comprehensive ADOS-2 evaluations are accessed at John R. Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo or Golisano Children's Hospital at URMC in Rochester — both are well within driving range.

Both Oishei Children's (Buffalo, 1 hr) and Golisano Children's (Rochester, 45 min) are excellent autism evaluation options. Contact both to compare waitlists.

Batavia

Genesee County Early Intervention Program

Genesee County's Early Intervention program provides free evaluations and services for children birth to age 3 with developmental delays or early autism signs. Administered by the county Health Department in Batavia, EI service coordinators build an IFSP and coordinate the transition to CPSE at age 3. Genesee County EI benefits from access to the robust WNY and Rochester provider markets.

FREE for eligible children. Genesee County EI coordinators can connect families to providers in both the Buffalo and Rochester markets.

BlueSprig Pediatrics — Western New York (Genesee County)

Center-based and in-home ABA therapy serving Genesee County through Western New York and Rochester-area networks. Batavia's mid-corridor location between Buffalo and Rochester gives families access to ABA providers in both metro areas. Accepts commercial insurance under New York's ABA mandate and NY Medicaid for eligible children.

The Autism Society of the Greater Rochester Area extends parent support and community programming to Genesee County families. The federally funded Parent Training and Information center based in Buffalo directly serves Genesee County families.
