Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, part of the UR Medicine network, is the primary hospital for Allegany County. For comprehensive evaluations, families are referred to Golisano Children's Hospital in Rochester (1.5–2 hours north) or UHS in Binghamton for southern county families. Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo (1.5 hours north) or, for some southern county families, UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Telehealth evaluation options are important for this rural county.
For full autism evaluation, Oishei Children's Hospital (Buffalo, 1.5 hrs) is the primary referral site. Telehealth evaluation is a strong alternative.
