Medina Memorial Hospital serves rural western Orleans County. For comprehensive autism evaluations, families travel to John R. Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo (~1 hour west) or Golisano Children's Hospital at URMC in Rochester (~1 hour east). Orleans County's mid-corridor location gives families access to two strong academic medical centers — call both to compare waitlists.
Both Oishei Children's (Buffalo, ~1 hr) and Golisano Children's (Rochester, ~1 hr) are strong evaluation options. Contact both simultaneously to minimize wait time.

Orleans County Early Intervention Program
Orleans County's Early Intervention program provides free evaluations and services for children birth to age 3 with developmental delays or early autism signs. Coordinated through the county Health Department in Albion, EI service coordinators build an IFSP and support transition to CPSE at age 3. In-home delivery is standard in this rural Lake Ontario shoreline county.
FREE for eligible children. Orleans County EI coordinators can connect families to the Buffalo and Rochester provider markets.
