CHRISTUS St. Vincent in Santa Fe is the primary hospital for Santa Fe County families. Developmental pediatric concerns are evaluated locally and complex autism assessments are coordinated with UNM Children's in Albuquerque (~60 miles south).
For comprehensive autism evaluation, Santa Fe families are typically referred to UNM Children's in Albuquerque (~1 hr drive).

Miners' Colfax Medical Center — Behavioral Health
Miners' Colfax Medical Center in Raton is the primary hospital for Colfax County in northeastern New Mexico near the Colorado border. Developmental screenings and behavioral health referrals are available; comprehensive autism evaluations require travel to UNM CDD in Albuquerque (~180 miles south) or to Pueblo/Colorado Springs in Colorado (~2 hours north).
I-25 corridor. Raton is near the NM-CO border — some families access Colorado specialists in Trinidad or Pueblo.

UNM Health Telehealth — Developmental Evaluations (Mora County)
Mora County is a small, rural, predominantly Hispanic county in northeastern New Mexico. Mora has no hospital — Las Vegas NM (San Miguel County, ~30 miles south) is the nearest medical hub, and Raton (Colfax County, ~60 miles north) is another option. Comprehensive autism evaluations require telehealth through UNM Children's Hospital or travel to Albuquerque (~125 miles southwest). Telehealth is the recommended first step.
