Holy Cross Medical Center is the primary hospital for Taos County in northern New Mexico. Behavioral health services and developmental screenings are available; comprehensive autism evaluations require referral to UNM Children's Hospital (Albuquerque, ~90 miles south) or telehealth. Telehealth is increasingly used in this arts community with diverse cultural needs.
Significant Pueblo and Hispanic population. Bilingual and culturally sensitive services are important. Telehealth through UNMH is growing in northern NM.
