Los Angeles County is the most populous county in the United States and has one of the country's most robust autism service ecosystems, anchored by Children's Hospital LA and the UCLA Center for Autism Research and Treatment. California's Regional Center system — unique nationally — funds therapy, respite, and support services for individuals with developmental disabilities through RCLA, with no income limit. TASK (Team of Advocates for Special Kids) is Southern California's federally funded PTI providing free IEP advocacy to LA County families. California requires commercial insurance to cover ABA therapy.
