As a border city with Arkansas, Texarkana families also have access to UAMS (University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences) specialists across the state line.
Texarkana straddles the TX-AR border. UAMS in Little Rock and Arkansas Children's Hospital are also accessible for evaluations — worth considering if TX waitlists are long.

Titus Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant is the primary hospital for Titus County and serves surrounding Northeast Texas counties. Developmental pediatric concerns are screened and referred to Texarkana (Bowie County, 60 miles east) or Tyler (Smith County, 80 miles south) for comprehensive autism evaluations.
Mount Pleasant is a regional hub for NE Texas. For full autism evaluation, Texarkana (60 mi) or Tyler (80 mi) are the primary destinations.

UT Health East Texas — Diagnostic Referral (Tyler)
Morris County families in Daingerfield travel to UT Health East Texas in Tyler (~70 miles south) or CHRISTUS Good Shepherd in Longview for autism evaluations. UT Health's developmental-behavioral pediatrics program is the primary regional resource for comprehensive multidisciplinary assessments.
Daingerfield is in the Texarkana–Longview corridor. Longview (CHRISTUS Good Shepherd) is about 50 miles south and provides an alternative referral pathway.
