Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva is the primary hospital for Jackson County and western NC's mountain region south of Asheville. Autism evaluation referrals connect families to TEACCH Asheville or Mission Children's Hospital (~45 miles north). Western Carolina University in Cullowhee provides additional community health resources.
