Developmental referrals connect families to Midland (~160 miles north) or El Paso (~200 miles west). Sul Ross State University is located in Alpine. Telehealth autism evaluation is the only realistic evaluation option for most Brewster County families.

El Paso Children's Hospital — Presidio/Marfa Referrals

Presidio County families in Marfa and Presidio travel to El Paso (~200 miles) or Big Bend Regional Medical Center for initial screening. El Paso Children's is the primary autism evaluation center for Trans-Pecos families.
