The IHS Cheyenne River Service Unit serves enrolled Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe members in Dewey County. For autism evaluations, IHS staff can coordinate referrals — typically to Pierre or Rapid City given extreme distance from Sioux Falls.
Dewey County is extremely rural. Telehealth is critical for all specialty services.
