Carolinas Medical Center–Cleveland (Atrium Health) in Shelby is the primary regional hospital for Cleveland County. Developmental screenings and autism evaluation referrals are coordinated through the Atrium Health system, with pathways to Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte for comprehensive autism workups (~50 miles east).
