Montefiore's Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC) in the Bronx is one of New York City's premier autism evaluation and treatment programs. The interdisciplinary team — including developmental pediatricians, neuropsychologists, and speech-language pathologists — conducts gold-standard ADOS-2 and ADI-R assessments. CERC has a long history of serving the Bronx's diverse, predominantly Medicaid-enrolled population and coordinates closely with NYC Early Intervention and the DOE.
One of the Bronx's most experienced autism evaluation programs. Accepts Medicaid. Expect a waitlist — call early.

NYC Early Intervention — Bronx
New York City's Early Intervention program for Bronx families, coordinated through the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Free developmental evaluations and services — including speech, OT, ABA-based approaches, and service coordination — for children birth to age 3 who show signs of autism or developmental delay. Service coordinators help build an IFSP and transition to NYC DOE CPSE at age 3.
FREE for eligible children. Call the NYC EI hotline — referrals accepted from pediatricians, hospitals, or parents directly.

Comprehensive Behavioral Care (CBC) provides BCBA-supervised ABA therapy for children in the Bronx, with both center-based and in-home service options. CBC has deep roots in NYC's ABA landscape and is experienced with the city's Medicaid-managed care system. Accepts commercial insurance under New York's ABA mandate and NYC Medicaid health plans.

The program accepts Medicaid and most commercial insurance, making it accessible to the Bronx's diverse population.
