Trinity Health — Wolf Point (Pediatric Referrals)
Trinity Health in Wolf Point is the primary hospital for Roosevelt County and the Fort Peck Indian Reservation area. Autism evaluations require travel to Billings (4+ hrs) or Great Falls (3+ hrs). Tribal families enrolled in the Fort Peck Tribes can access Indian Health Service diagnostic services. Telehealth is the most realistic primary option for most families.
Tribal families: Fort Peck IHS at Poplar (406-768-3491) can coordinate diagnostic referrals. Non-tribal families face very long travel to Billings or Great Falls. Telehealth strongly recommended.

Free IDEA Part C early intervention for children under 3 in Roosevelt County. Tribal families are eligible through state EI as well as through tribal early childhood programs. Provider availability is very limited — early referral is critical.

Fort Peck IHS — Behavioral Health Services
The Indian Health Service at Fort Peck provides behavioral health services for enrolled tribal members, including autism support. IHS behavioral health in Poplar can supplement state ABA services and offer care coordination for tribal families. Non-tribal families on the reservation are not eligible but can access telehealth ABA from Montana-based providers.
IHS services for enrolled tribal members only. Montana Medicaid also covers ABA telehealth for all eligible families. Coordinate between IHS and DPHHS for maximum coverage.

Autism Society Montana provides statewide peer support for Roosevelt County families. The Fort Peck Reservation area is one of Montana's most isolated communities — online peer connection and phone-based support are the most accessible options.
Online peer support is most accessible from Wolf Point. Tribal families may also find community through Fort Peck Tribes family support programs.
