ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital is Monroe County's primary hospital, providing pediatric care and developmental referrals. Monroe County sits between Detroit and Toledo, Ohio — families frequently access University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor or the Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit for comprehensive autism evaluations.
University of Michigan (UMACC) in Ann Arbor (~35 miles north) is the primary referral for full autism evaluations. Toledo Children's Hospital in Ohio also serves some Monroe County families.
