Goodland Regional Medical Center serves Sherman County in the far northwest corner of Kansas on I-70 near the Colorado border. Developmental referrals route to Colby (~45 miles east) or Hays (~90 miles east) for specialist autism evaluation. Extremely remote — families routinely cross into Colorado for specialty care.
Colorado specialists (Denver, Colorado Springs) may be more accessible than Kansas hubs given the extreme northwest location.
