Geary County Schools (USD 475) serves both civilian and military families in Junction City adjacent to Fort Riley. For comprehensive clinical evaluation, families access Manhattan (Riley County, ~30 min west) or Topeka specialists.

Military families at Fort Riley access autism and developmental services through the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) at Irwin Army Community Hospital. EFMP coordinates Tricare-covered ABA therapy, IEP support, and special needs case management. Fort Riley's EFMP is one of the more robust military EFMPs given the installation size.
Military families: enroll in EFMP before PCS to Fort Riley. EFMP staff coordinate IEP meetings with USD 475 and arrange Tricare ABA coverage.
