Trinity County's small critical access hospital in Weaverville offering basic pediatric care. For any comprehensive autism evaluation, families must travel to Redding (1.5 hrs) or Eureka (2.5 hrs). UC Davis MIND Institute telehealth is the most accessible diagnostic option. No local developmental specialists exist in the county.

California's Regional Center serving Shasta County as part of Alta California's large Northern California coverage area. Provides service coordination, Early Start, respite, and adult services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

California's Regional Center serving Siskiyou County as part of Alta California's expansive Northern California coverage area. Provides Early Start (birth–3), service coordination, respite, and adult services. This is one of the most rural and remote areas served by any California Regional Center.
Sacramento main office handles intake. Siskiyou is extremely rural — expect remote service coordination and telehealth-based therapy.

California's Regional Center serving Del Norte County, the state's northernmost county at the Oregon border. Provides Early Start (birth–3), service coordination, respite, and adult services. The Eureka main office handles Del Norte County intake — travel to Eureka is 1.5 hours on winding Highway 101. Telehealth is the primary coordination model.
