If you’ve been feeling exhausted, short-tempered, or just done, this episode is for you. In this conversation, we’re talking about autism parent burnout — what it really looks like, why it happens, and how to find your way through it with compassion and hope. Caring for a child with autism can be beautiful and deeply meaningful, but it can also bring caregiver fatigue, emotional overwhelm, and constant stress that few people truly understand. We'll share a bit about our own family’s experience, why burnout is completely normal for autism moms and dads, and a few practical things you can do to start feeling like yourself again. We’ll talk about giving yourself permission to rest, lowering the bar, and getting support — whether that’s from a friend, a therapist, or a life coach for autism parents. You don’t have to go through burnout alone. There’s strength within you, and there’s a community here that gets it.
